ABOUT ME

I spent a good part of my life moving around as a military brat, growing up mostly in Germany and the Philippines. For a long time, I lived a nomadic lifestyle, wandering through different places and jobs because I hadn't found my true direction yet.

Before I ever figured out where I was headed, I worked through a lifetime of varied experiences. I served in the U.S. Air Force until 1993, working as an avionics repair technician on LANTIRN systems for F-15 and F-16 aircraft. From there, my path took me through a relentless mix of heavy hands-on work—wiring massive server power distribution racks, mass-flashed software and BIOS updates across complex hardware configurations, and repairing a wide range of technical devices. I spent three years as a sawyer at a sawmill, ran a forklift at a chicken plant, turned wrenches as a diesel mechanic for a decade, and managed a resort in Wyoming with a team of fifteen.

My journey with technology started way back in the 1980s. One of my earliest memories is wiring up a mechanical keyboard with my dad to replace the soft-pad keyboard on our Sinclair ZX81. From there, I graduated to cracking small codes on a Commodore 64 using DOS and floppies, and took GW-BASIC and Pascal in high school. I can still remember pushing my school assignments all the way from the Philippines to Japan over a sluggish 9.6k baud modem. In the early 2000s, I dove headfirst into digital art and 3D design—using Terragen, Bryce, Vue 5 Infinite, Photoshop, and Swish just for the love of creating.

After that era, I stepped away from tech for a long time, and when I finally looked back, the whole landscape had transformed.

Today, I’m finally building my direction. I am a full-time student at Dyersburg State Community College pursuing an Associate of Applied Science in Business with a concentration in Computer and Information Systems, with my sights set on graduating in December 2028.

I've always been fascinated by how people communicate and analyze conversations, even though I've never considered myself much of a natural communicator—it's definitely an edge I'm working hard to smooth out. Coming back to school and putting myself out there is about more than just a degree; it's about taking everything I've lived, built, and repaired over the decades and finally channeling it into something permanent.
